Twelve open tabs and a group chat nobody can scroll back through. Treader puts every stop on one map, works out the days and drive times as you go, and lets everyone who's coming edit the same plan. Building it takes minutes, not an evening.

Less planning, in practice.

You expect a map with every place on it, and it’s here. The rest is the part a map app doesn’t do: a day that retimes itself when you move a stop, a ferry and a flight counted on the same clock, an assistant that has read your itinerary, and a plan that keeps up when the day slips.

01 Discover

What you find is already in the plan.

The usual places with their ratings and hours, plus the spots other Treader travellers pinned and wrote up. Anything you like goes into a day from the map itself, so nothing gets copied into a notes app to be lost later.

02 Build

Drop a place in and the day rearranges itself.

Times shift, routes redraw, the day still adds up. Change your mind as often as you like and the timings redo themselves.

03 Routes

One day that drives, flies and takes the ferry.

A directions app times one leg at a time. Treader times the whole chain, transfers and time zone changes included, so a day that mixes a drive, a flight and a boat still adds up. If Tuesday is too full, you find out while you’re building it, not while you’re standing in it.

04 Scout

Scout has already read your itinerary.

Ask what Tuesday is missing, or where to eat near your last stop. It answers from the plan you built, then makes the change for you to keep or undo. The evening of research becomes one question.

05 On the day

It keeps up on the day itself.

Rain moves in, you leave the museum an hour late. Treader reshuffles what’s left and tells you what you can still make, so nobody rebuilds the afternoon standing on a street corner.

Plan it alone. Or don’t.

A trip you plan by yourself works exactly the same. Send one link and everyone else is on that map too, adding stops you can see as they go, so the plan lives in one place instead of six heads.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from asking an AI for an itinerary?

A chatbot writes the itinerary once and hands it back as text you still have to turn into a trip. Scout works inside the plan with you. It can already see what you have built, so you can ask it to fill the gap on Tuesday or find dinner near your last stop, and what it suggests arrives as stops on the map that you can drag, retime, swap or undo in one tap. It also keeps the preferences you set once, the pace you like, what you eat, what you would rather skip, so you are not re-explaining yourself every time you ask it something.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. $0, forever, no card and no trial clock. You get as many trips as you like at up to 7 days each, one person to plan them with, and 15 Scout messages a month. Upgrade only when you outgrow it.

Do my friends need to pay to plan with me?

No. Joining someone else’s trip is always free. Hosting is the part that scales with your plan: one guest on Free, three on Pro, ten on Discovery.

What is Scout?

Scout is the planning assistant built into the app. It has read your itinerary, so you can ask what Tuesday is missing or where to eat near your last stop, and it answers with places that fit the day, then makes the change for you to keep or undo. Free includes 15 messages a month. Pro raises that to 300 and gives Scout more to work with, including the full detail on every place it suggests. Discovery is unlimited.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, in a couple of clicks. Pro is $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, which saves 17%. Discovery is $9.99 or $99.99. You keep access until the period ends, and your trips, spots and notes stay yours after that.

What is the $1,000 flight claim?

Canada’s air passenger protection rules entitle you to compensation when a flight is delayed long enough or you get bumped. Most people never claim it. Discovery drafts the claim from your booking, for up to $1,000.

Where do the places come from?

Map search and discovery run on Google’s live place data, the same source behind Google Maps, on every plan including Free. Full detail on a place, its photos, reviews and opening hours, comes with Pro and Discovery. Community spots are pinned by travellers who have been there.

Logan standing on a mossy ledge at the foot of a tall waterfall, in a cap and rain shell with his pack straps in both hands

So, why'd I build Treader?

Planning shouldn't be a hassle.

I’m Logan. I take photographs, and I spend a good chunk of the year planning trips and trying to be everywhere at once. Most of the time I end up watching videos of other people living out my dreams, when I should be telling my friends we are finally going somewhere we have always talked about.

The planning tools didn’t help. Most were too limited, none of them let me plan with the people I travel with, and too many times I turned up at a spot that didn’t exist. So I built the thing I wanted: a map with detail I can trust, and the people I’m travelling with planning alongside me. Plan smarter and you plan less, and the time you get back goes into the trip you have all been dreaming about. Treader is a tool for people who want to plan together, and get out there.

Plan less, live more. Logan, Treader
