AI itinerary import
Turn a ChatGPT itinerary into a map
Treader is a free collaborative trip planner that puts every stop on one live map and checks the plan against sunset and public holidays on your dates.
A chat answer is a list. Paste it here and each Day heading becomes a day and each bullet becomes a stop. Once it is a trip, the driving time between stops is filled in and the plan is checked against what the chat could not know.

A chat answer, then the trip it becomes
A 3-day Banff answer, the way a chat writes it. Press paste and Treader builds the trip: each stop on its day at the time the chat gave it, the drives between them timed, and Trip check on the day that does not fit.
Plan 3 days in Banff for a summer trip. Easy hikes, good food.
Here's a 3-day Banff itinerary for a summer trip.

An easy walk along the Bow River from town

Copy the whole reply from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, headings and all. The days and stops this box reads are listed under it, and “Map these stops” puts them on a map before you make an account.
Read on your device. Nothing is sent until you map it.
“Save it and edit the days” makes your free account. Treader then makes a trip with those days and the stops you checked already on them. Free trips keep the first 7 days; the stops of later days wait in Ideas.
01
What the import reads, and what it does not
The parser looks for “Day 1”, “Day 2” headings and the bullets or numbered lines under them. Time and meal labels (“Morning:”, “Lunch at”, a time like “2:00 PM”) set the stop’s time and come off its name, so the name is what gets searched. A day heading that names a place (“Day 2: The Vatican”) tells the search where to look. Reading runs on your device, so pasting costs nothing and sends nothing. Mapping sends only the stop names and day headings, to look each stop up.
- Markdown headings, bold days and numbered days all count
- A stop nested under a label like “Afternoon” is read; a note nested under a stop is skipped
- Free prose and days headed “Tuesday” are not read here
- Inside the app, Paste anything can read prose with Scout, which uses one Scout message (15 a month on Free)
02
What Treader checks that the chat could not
A language model does not know that your Monday is a public holiday in that province, or that the last stop of day two runs past dark. Once the stops are on the map, Trip check reads the plan against your dates on every plan. Opening hours are part of Pro’s full place detail, so the check that a stop is open on the day you arrive comes with Pro.
- Free: sunset and whether each day fits, public holiday warnings per stop by country and province, and the driving time between stops
- Pro, $4.99 CAD a month: opening hours read against the day you arrive, plus road conditions and border wait times along the route
03
Plan it together
The imported trip is a normal Treader trip: invite the people going, comment on stops, and change the days side by side. The chat gave you a draft; the map is where the group decides.

Frequently asked questions

Read the docs01 Which AI assistants does this work with?
Any that answer with “Day 1”, “Day 2” headings and a bullet per stop: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity all do by default. Copy the whole answer, including the headings.
02 Is the text sent anywhere when I paste it?
No. The days and stops are read in your browser. When you press “Map these stops”, only each stop’s name and its day heading are sent, to find the place. The text itself stays on your device until you save, and then it builds the trip in your new account.
03 Some stops are missing from the preview. Why?
The preview only lists stops written as a bullet or a numbered line under a Day heading. A stop written inside a sentence, or a day headed “Tuesday” instead of “Day 2”, is not read here. Inside the app, Paste anything can send the same text to Scout, which reads the prose too and uses one Scout message.
04 What happens when I save it?
You make a free account. Treader makes a trip with the days you pasted, puts the stops you checked on them and opens Day 1. A stop that was not found, or that you did not confirm, waits in Ideas for you to place. From there you edit the days like any trip. A free trip keeps the first 7 days; Pro keeps longer ones.
05 Does this cost anything?
No. The import, the map, and the sunset and public holiday checks are free on every plan. Opening hours on your dates come with Pro’s full place detail, along with road conditions and border waits along the route.
From a chat answer to a trip you can edit.
